Sabine and Jefferson are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Sabine Cardinals will challenge the Jefferson Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Sabine has struggled recently with six defeats in a row, while Jefferson will arrive with seven straight victories.

Meanwhile, while Jefferson put up plenty of points last Friday, the same can't be said for White Oak. Jefferson simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat White Oak 60-0 on the road. With that win, the Bulldogs brought their scoring average up to 30.3 points per game.

Kamran Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his 17th straight game with at least 124 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tihmyus Taylor, who threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Sabine's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Jefferson, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Friday's match might be decided in the on the ground. Sabine has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 160.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 274.1. It's looking like Friday's matchup might have some serious battles in the trenches.

Sabine took a serious blow against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, falling 56-21. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sabine was down 28-7.
