It was a good run, but Upper Sandusky unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 14-10 to the Edison Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

David Gibson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Heilman, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Upper Sandusky's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Edison, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Upper Sandusky and Edison should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Rams will take on Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (86 vs. 344). Meanwhile, Edison (ranked 75th) will meet Huron (ranked 222nd) at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chargers 2.4, the Tigers 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
