Baseball Recap: Florien Comes Up Short

Florien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Pitkin Tigers, falling 15-1. The Blackcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in April of 2021.

Kennon Richwine made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one double.

Florien's defeat dropped their record down to 7-20. As for Pitkin, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florien will challenge Oak Hill at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pitkin, they will take on Opelousas Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
