Preview: City College Black Knights vs. Dunbar Poets
The City College Black Knights will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Dunbar Poets at 5:15 p.m. City College will be looking to keep their 16-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
City College put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They blew past Cliffside Park, posting a 81-42 victory at home. Given City College's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 41st in Maryland, while Cliffside Park is ranked 161st in New Jersey), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Dunbar came up short against Lake Clifton on Wednesday and fell 59-52. Dunbar has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
City College's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Dunbar, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3.
City College beat Dunbar 63-52 in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Does City College have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dunbar turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
