Decatur came into Monday's matchup having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over the Mae Jemison Jaguars on Monday. The Red Raiders not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 19th.
Josey Hendrix was a standout: she went 3-for-6 with two triples, three runs, and one double. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Kresch, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Decatur's victory bumped their record up to 3-25. As for Mae Jemison, they moved to 5-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
