Basketball Recap: Kyler Bourne's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Palestine over Medina Christian Academy

If East Palestine was riding high fresh off their 60-9 takedown of Academy for Urban Scholars last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Palestine Bulldogs took a 60-46 bruising from the Medina Christian Academy Knights on Thursday.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyler Bourne, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and five rebounds. Landyn Cope was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Even though they lost, East Palestine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive contests.
