 The Hardin Northern Polar Bears will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Lima Senior Spartans at 5:30  p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many  runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
 Hardin Northern is probably headed into the  matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Pandora-Gilboa just ended the team's  three-game winning streak  on Thursday. They fell  6-2 to the Rockets. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Hardin Northern has scored all season.
  Landon Wetherill was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. He hasn't dropped below two  stolen bases for three straight games.
 Meanwhile, Lima Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight  defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a  tough 8-2 walloping at the hands of Van Buren. That's two games in a row now that Lima Senior has lost by  exactly six  runs.
 Lima Senior saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Peyton Rader, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Hardin Northern's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 7-4. As for Lima Senior, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
