Football Game Preview: Mt. Vernon Wildcats vs. North Posey Vikings

The Mt. Vernon Wildcats will take on the North Posey Vikings at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Posey took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Mt. Vernon, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Mt. Vernon strolled past Washington with points to spare, taking the game 24-9. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Hatchets: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, North Posey finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were dealt a 56-0 loss at the hands of Heritage Hills. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Mt. Vernon's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for North Posey, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
