Baseball Recap: Woods Cross Comes Up Short

Woods Cross and Olympus squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Woods Cross had to settle for second. They came up short against the Titans, falling 10-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 on Wednesday.

Max Moffat made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Beau Blackwell, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Woods Cross and nudges their season record down to 18-11. As for Olympus, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7.

While Woods Cross had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
