Avoca Central put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Alfred-Almond Eagles. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Avoca Central's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 12.3 runs this season. As for Alfred-Almond, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Avoca Central will take on Fillmore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alfred-Almond will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' match: after the Tigers faces off against the Eagles, they'll take on Alfred-Almond again at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st.
