Basketball Recap: Bruno Navarro Key Part of Team Effort in Tigers Win

Palmer's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the Cedar Bluffs Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 54-37. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 47-33 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palmer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bruno Navarro, who posted 17 points. Palmer is 3-1 when Navarro posts 15 or more points, but 1-11 otherwise. Payton Coplen was another key player, putting up 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Bluffs lost, don't look at Carter Eiring. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-14 en route to 21 points and seven boards. That was a full 56.8% of Cedar Bluffs' points, marking the fourth time in a row Eiring has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Camden Patyk, who scored five points.

Palmer picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 4-12. As for Cedar Bluffs, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Palmer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-39 loss against Nebraska Christian on the 13th. As for Cedar Bluffs, they have also already played their next match, a 65-48 defeat against Parkview Christian on the 13th.
