Baseball Game Preview: Dalton Bulldogs vs. Hillsdale Falcons

For the second straight game, Dalton will face off against Hillsdale. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Falcons at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Dalton came up short against Hillsdale and fell 5-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Hillsdale's part, Aiden Hoffman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hoffman has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brock Bower, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Kael Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The win (which was Hillsdale's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dalton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
