Canyon had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Hereford Whitefaces with a sharp 13-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 19-9-2. As for Hereford, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Canyon will square off against rival Perryton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hereford is set to challenge their familiar foe West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
