Baseball Game Preview: Huss Huskies vs. Forestview Jaguars

Huss is 0-10 against Forestview since March of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Huskies will host the Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Huss is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Stuart W. Cramer, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Forestview lost 9-3 to Kings Mountain on Friday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Forestview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Aycock, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Huss' defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Forestview, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Huss has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Forestview struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Huss couldn't quite get it done against Forestview in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Huskies avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
