Softball Recap: Mitchell Marauders vs. James Irwin Jaguars
Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 23-7 to the James Irwin Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Marauders of the 19-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2020.
Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for James Irwin, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mitchell will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off.
