Volleyball Recap: Arrowhead Falls Short Against Ranked Divine Savior Holy Angels

Arrowhead faced Divine Savior Holy Angels in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Warhawks fell 2-0 to Divine Savior Holy Angels. If the Warhawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to Divine Savior Holy Angels when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Natalie Krogwold paced Arrowhead's offense, picking up five kills. Krogwold got some help from Taylor Wold and her 12 assists.

Divine Savior Holy Angels got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gail Buckner out in front who had 14 digs. Buckner is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Jones, who had 15 assists and five digs.

With the loss, Arrowhead broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-2. As for Divine Savior Holy Angels, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Arrowhead and Divine Savior Holy Angels will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Warhawks will challenge rival Catholic Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Divine Savior Holy Angels is set to take on their familiar foe Wauwatosa West at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
