South Iredell has gone 9-1 against Statesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. South Iredell will be strutting in after a victory while Statesville will be coming in after a defeat.

South Iredell will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Lake Norman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Wildcats on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

South Iredell was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Statesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Davie County, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since August 25, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Statesville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for South Iredell, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

South Iredell took their victory against Statesville in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
