Kellam had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Midlothian Trojans on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won 19 matches in a row.

Kellam not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Midlothian between 15 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 25-16.

Sophie Barnes paced Kellam's offense, picking up 17 kills. Barnes got some help from Emmie Irving and her 22 assists. Irving was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Kellam's win bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Midlothian, they moved to 24-2 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Kellam will challenge Riverside at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. Midlothian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
