Basketball Recap: Rootstown Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Rootstown was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Center Christian Tiger. While losing is never fun, the Rovers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 778th, while the Tiger are ranked 280th).

Rootstown dropped their record down to 4-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lake Center Christian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-4.

Rootstown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 66-33 defeat against John F. Kennedy Catholic on the 1st. As for Lake Center Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
