Baseball Recap: Obion County Comes Up Short

Obion County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Murray Tigers. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Obion County got a good showing from Garrison Clark, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Clark has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

Obion County's record now sits at 7-20-1. As for Murray, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Obion County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Murray, they will be playing at home against Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
