The Crespi Celts will head out on the road to face off against the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crespi has nine straight victories, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Saturday, Crespi took their contest with ease, bagging a 34-6 win over Harvard-Westlake. Considering the Celts have won seven matchups by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Crespi's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Stephen Nunez, who picked up 53 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. That's the most receiving yards Nunez has posted since back in August.

Crespi's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Somto Nwude. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 13 sacks on the season. Antonio Glasby got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 49-28 to La Salle. The Cardinals were down 35-15 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Crespi will have to contain Miles Galbraith as he made an impact in Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary's last game. He picked up 170 receiving yards and three scores. Galbraith showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 55 yards. Vincent Naranjo handled things on the ground, rushing for 95 yards.
Crespi's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
Everything came up roses for Crespi against Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 52-13 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Celts since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
