 For Thorsby's part,  Patrick Prady was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). Prady was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with a  home run,  an  additional RBI,  and a  triple.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Aiden Seeley, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Lucas Jackson was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thorsby, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-7.
 Coincidentally,  both teams will both be playing Verbena the next time they take the field. Thorsby will head out to face Verbena at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while Calhoun will head out to face them  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
