Baseball Recap: Buhach Colony Starts Season with Victory Against Grace Davis

Buhach Colony took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Grace Davis Spartans 3-1.

Daniel Sims looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time he hasn't allowed a single hit since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Jacob Medina was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Grace Davis and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Buhach Colony didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-3 tie against Turlock on the 24th. As for Grace Davis, they have also already played their next contest, a 22-2 win against Modesto Christian on the 22nd.
