Baseball Preview: Kennett Indians vs. Twin Rivers Royals
The Kennett Indians will face off against the Twin Rivers Royals at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kennett comes in on three and Twin Rivers on four.
Kennett is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Oran with a sharp 9-3 victory on Wednesday. The Indians not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024.
Meanwhile, Twin Rivers made easy work of Neelyville on Thursday and carried off a 13-2 win. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matches by six runs or more this season.
Luke Hester and Bryce Dollins did most of the damage at the plate: Hester scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Dollins got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was Dollins' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Liam Galloway, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Twin Rivers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Neelyville only posted an OBP of .370.
Kennett now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Twin Rivers, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
