Baseball Recap: Middlesex Takes a Loss

Middlesex and Lancaster squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Middlesex had to settle for second. They lost 8-2 to the Red Devils. The defeat continues a trend for the Chargers in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost eight in a row.

Middlesex saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Rutkowski, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Peyton Calhoun also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Middlesex's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lancaster, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Middlesex nor Lancaster have any future games scheduled.
