Basketball Recap: Seattle Academy Comes Up Short

Seattle Academy suffered their biggest defeat since December 9, 2023 on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Bishop Blanchet Bears 66-37. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Bears are ranked 76th).

Seattle Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Bishop Blanchet, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Seattle Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Blanchet, they will challenge Ballard at 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
