Softball Game Preview: Green Canyon Wolves vs. Jordan Beetdiggers

Green Canyon has gone a perfect 4-0 against Jordan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolves will welcome the Beetdiggers at 3:30 p.m. Green Canyon hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Green Canyon lost 16-1 to Sky View on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jordan). They blew past Park City 19-11 on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024 (when they won 24-4).

Kate Judd was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Olivia Judd was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs.

Jordan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Park City only posted an OBP of .417.

Green Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Jordan, their win ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-14.

Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Green Canyon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Jordan struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Green Canyon's way against Jordan in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, as Green Canyon made off with a 16-1 victory. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Beetdiggers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
