Football Game Preview: Konawaena Wildcats vs. Kealakehe Waveriders

Konawaena has gone a perfect 10-0 against Kealakehe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Waveriders at 7:00 p.m. Konawaena is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Friday, Konawaena took their game with ease, bagging a 49-19 win over Kamehameha Hawai'i. Considering the Wildcats have won four contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, a win is a win, as they say, even a pretty close 12-7 victory over Hawaii Prep. The Waveriders haven't had any issues with the Ka Makani recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Konawaena's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Kealakehe, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Konawaena against Kealakehe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 71-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
