Recap: Reagan Rattlers vs. Taft Raiders
Even though the Taft Raiders scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the Reagan Rattlers still came out on top. Reagan enjoyed a cozy 70-55 win over Taft. Given Reagan's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Taft is ranked 536th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Kenneth Manuel, who scored 30 points along with five steals. Manuel set a new season high mark in points with 30. Nick Padilla was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Reagan's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Taft, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-10.
Reagan will take on Marshall in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on December 19th at. Taft's road trip will continue as they head out to face Brennan at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Brennan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 716 points over their last 11 contests.
