Soccer Game Preview: Taylorsville vs. Kearns

The Taylorsville Warriors will challenge the Kearns Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Taylorsville fell victim to Granger and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Lancers. Considering the last time Taylorsville couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Despite a strong season so far, Kearns has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hunter. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Kearns' goal came courtesy of Alan Maldonado, who's now up to six this season.

Taylorsville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Kearns, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Taylorsville was able to grind out a solid win over Kearns in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-0. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
