Basketball Recap: Hinsdale Central Comes Up Short

Hinsdale Central was the 49-29 winner over Alfred-Almond when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hinsdale Central Bobcats took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alfred-Almond Eagles on Monday. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Hinsdale Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Alfred-Almond, with the victory, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-9.

Hinsdale Central and Alfred-Almond could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Hinsdale Central (ranked 758th) will meet Fillmore (ranked 71st) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Alfred-Almond will challenge Arkport Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday down 415 places (776 vs. 361).
