Basketball Recap: Eastern Comets vs. Southwood Knights
Eastern extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-4. They received a blow as they fell 67-50 to the Southwood Knights. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Knights are ranked 107th).
As for Southwood, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points over those games.

That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Southwood's points. Eastern and Taylor will round out the year against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Comets will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Southwood, they will take on Wabash in a tournament on Friday.
