Basketball Recap: Vidalia's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Vidalia entered their tilt with Savannah Christian on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Savannah Christian Raiders 48-26. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Raiders are ranked 466th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Vidalia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tori Polke led the charge by going 5 of 7 on her way to 10 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Polke is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cori Warner, who posted five points and 16 rebounds.

Vidalia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 49 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.
