Volleyball Recap: Whitewater Wildcats vs. Cherokee Bluff Bears
Whitewater and Cherokee Bluff squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Whitewater had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Cherokee Bluff Bears. While the Wildcats didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bears 25-20 in the first set.
The 3-1 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Whitewater lost were decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23.
Even though they lost, Whitewater was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive matches.
