Basketball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Taylor's Winning Streak

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Taylor can now relate to. They lost 58-35 to the Archbishop Alter Knights on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while the Knights are ranked 50th).

Taylor moved to 19-6 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. As for Archbishop Alter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.
