Softball Game Preview: Wayne Eagles vs. Greece Odyssey Leopards

The Wayne Eagles will head out to take on the Greece Odyssey Leopards at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wayne is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Palmyra-Macedon hit Wayne with a four-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Zoe Eaton led a balanced group of hitters, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jessy Newmyer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Greece Odyssey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to Irondequoit, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.
