Jordan Heitman and Zach Queen provided fans with a highlight when they connected against East Davidson. The longest such play in 2A Central Carolina this season, the connection resulted in 75 yards.
The Golden Eagles moved up to 286 from 314 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. East Davidson was able to make move up by besting West Davidson 48-14.
West Davidson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dragons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Heitman has thrown for 390 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Queen has 17 catches for 362 yards. Kyle Smith leads the league in rushing with 1053 yards.
Two of the top units in 2A Central Carolina will face off this week when Bryan Lingerfelt's team takes on Salisbury. The Golden Eagles' offense has recorded 182 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Hornets have permitted only 199 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Dragons take on Central Davidson. West Davidson is currently in third, while the Spartans are in second.
Salisbury extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Thomasville, 43-39. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
