Basketball Game Preview: Eno River Academy Bobcats vs. Vance Charter Knights

Eno River Academy is 0-8 against Vance Charter since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Eno River Academy Bobcats will look to defend their home court against the Vance Charter Knights at 7:30 p.m. Eno River Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last six games.

Last Friday, Eno River Academy earned a 60-51 win over Oxford Prep.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eno River Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cire McGhee, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave McGhee a new career-high. Jack Kroothoep was another key player, putting up eight points along with six steals and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vance Charter). They put the hurt on Excelsior Classical Academy with a sharp 85-64 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Eno River Academy's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-9. As for Vance Charter, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Things could have been worse for Eno River Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-31 loss to Vance Charter in their previous meeting back in January.
