Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian). They took down the Weldon Valley Warriors 68-52 on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Weldon Valley's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was August Filter, who posted 23 points. Filter's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Zander Braun was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Weldon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Loveland Protestant Reformed Christian will challenge Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado on Monday. As for Weldon Valley, they will square off against Fleming at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Weldon Valley is facing Fleming at the right time seeing as Fleming is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
