Volleyball Recap: Sitka Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sitka can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Kenai Central Kardinals on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Kardinals: they've now lost three in a row.

While Sitka had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-21.

Sitka's defeat dropped their record down to 20-22-9. As for Kenai Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 37-16-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Sitka nor Kenai Central have any future games scheduled.
