Baseball Recap: El Paso Takes a Loss

El Paso lost against Jefferson back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. El Paso fell just short of Jefferson by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered against the Silver Foxes since April 1, 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for El Paso and nudges their season record down to 6-13-1. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 8-10 Jefferson and 8-10 Andress. As for Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. El Paso will face off against rival Burges at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jefferson is set to square off against their familiar foe Andress at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Jefferson has lost three straight at home , while Andress has lost seven on the road.
