Softball Recap: Lytle Comes Up Short

Lytle managed to slip by Ingram Moore the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 18-9 to the Warriors on Friday.

Anissa Perez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Avary Hernandez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

Lytle's loss dropped their record down to 7-6-2. As for Ingram Moore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-7-1.

Lytle and Ingram Moore will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Pirates are set to challenge their familiar foe Crystal City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ingram Moore will square off against rival Blanco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
