Volleyball Recap: Eugene Takes a Loss

Eugene was the 3-0 winner over Tipton when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Cardinals on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-9.

Alyse Jones paced Eugene's offense, picking up three kills. Jones got some help from Kebrina Hugen and her six assists. Ava Hurley controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eugene's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Tipton, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-7-2.

Eugene has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Strafford on the 11th. As for Tipton, they will welcome Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
