Eupora hadn't done well against Bruce recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eupora Eagles were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over the Bruce Trojans. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why Bruce lost, don't look at Kobe Hooper. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 en route to 18 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Hooper has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Ayden Welch, who posted seven points and five assists.

Eupora's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bruce, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Eupora and Winona will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bruce will take on North Pontotoc in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
