Basketball Recap: Christian Ministries Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to 79 points the game before, Christian Ministries Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They were beaten by the Southwest Christian Academy Lions 63-29. The Conquerors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 47-43.

Andrew Robertson and Gavin Hicks certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Robertson posted eight points, while Hicks scored seven points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. Hicks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 22 games he's played dating back to last season.

Christian Ministries Academy's loss dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Southwest Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Christian Ministries Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-66 win against New Life Christian Academy on the 24th. As for Southwest Christian Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Gospel Light Christian at 6:30 p.m. on February 3rd.
