Recap: University Titans vs. Atlantic Sharks
This season hasn't been kind to the University Titans, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were outmatched by Atlantic on the road and fell 64-33. While losing is never fun, University can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Atlantic is ranked 205th).
Aliya Rosado Cucalon was University's leading scorer, having posted 13 points.
Sierra Reiter held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Reiter took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with a assist.
Atlantic found their leader in underclassman Madelyn Johnson, who scored 22 points along with 3 steals. Johnson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Essence Johnson, who scored 7 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals.
The last time University won on the road was back on Friday. Having now lost four straight away games, they've bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Atlantic, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Smyrna Beach at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Atlantic, they will challenge Calvary Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
