Recap: Coffee Trojans vs. Chamblee Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Coffee Trojans walked away with it. They really took it to Chamblee for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-0 win at home. Coffee's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Fred Brown was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Brown is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Tyrese Hansley, who rushed for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
Coffee's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.1 points per game. As for Chamblee, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Coffee will face off against Jones County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Chamblee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
