Fitzgerald is a perfect 10-0 against Berrien since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Purple Hurricane will be playing at home against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Fitzgerald's defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so Berrien's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Fitzgerald proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 48) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Thomasville 24-21.

Meanwhile, Berrien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against Worth County, falling 54-16. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.

Although Berrien took the loss, they still got scores from Champ Tumer and Tre Mcqueen.

Berrien's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fitzgerald, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Fitzgerald against Berrien when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 56-7 win. Will the Purple Hurricane repeat their success, or do the Rebels have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
