Baseball Game Preview: Eminence Warriors vs. Henry County Wildcats

Eminence hasn't had much luck against Henry County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warriors will take on the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Eminence came up short against Carroll County and fell 7-2.

Eminence saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greyson Tingle, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Henry County came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Gallatin County a 14-0 shutout. Considering Henry County has won seven games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Baylor Nolin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run. Jaylan Hortenbury also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Henry County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.

Henry County's record now sits at 10-11. As for Eminence, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Eminence came up short against Henry County in their previous meeting back in April, falling 5-2. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
