Soccer Recap: Moravia Comes Up Short

The matchup between Moravia and Groton on Wednesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Blue Devils came up short against the Red Hawks, falling 7-2. Moravia just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Spencer Weed and Caden Cuddeback scored both of Moravia's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Moravia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Groton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Moravia is set to challenge their familiar foe Southern Cayuga at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th. Meanwhile, Groton will take on rival Marathon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
